An Organizational Meeting of the Board of Review will be held March 6, 2018 at the Office of the Assessor from 9:00 -10:00 a.m.
Public Meetings for review and appeals of the Assessment Roll will be held at the following dates and times:
Monday, March 12, 2018 (9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.(noon) and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.)

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

SPECIAL USE PERMIT REQUEST

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2018

7:00 P.M.

 

A Public Hearing will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at the Oneida Charter Township Hall, 11041 Oneida Rd., Grand Ledge, Michigan, 48837 at 7:00 p.m.  The purpose of the hearing is to hear from the property owners of parcel #030-026-400-040-00 at 9255 Hartel Road, Grand Ledge, Michigan, for a Special Use Permit for an accessory building to store food trailers and to be equipped to prepare foods and smoke meats for off premise sales only. 

 

The application and supporting documents are available for review in the office of the Zoning Administrator Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.  Anyone having questions or needing assistance during or prior to the hearing can contact the Zoning Administrator, Melissa Goschka at 517-622-8078.  Written comments on this proposal will be accepted until Tuesday, November 6, 2018.

FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2018
ONEIDA CHARTER TOWNSHIP

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT AN ELECTION WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY NOVEMBER 6, 2018.ONEIDA TOWNSHIP HALL 11041 ONEIDA RD GRAND LEDGE MI. THE POLLS IN PRECINCT #1 AND #2 WILL BE OPEN 7:00 AM TO 8:00 PM.
FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING CANDIDATES OF THE Republican Party, Democratic Party, Libertarian Party, US Taxpayers Party, Green Party, Natural Law Party and the Working Class Party and candidates without political party affiliation who seek election to the following partisan offices are to be voted for in Eaton County: Governor and Lieutenant Governor - Secretary of State - Attorney General - U.S. Senator - Representative in Congress - State Senator - State Representative 71st District - Member of the State Board of Education- Regent of the University of Michigan - Trustee of Michigan State University - Governor of Wayne State University - County Commissioner - Candidates seeking election to the following nonpartisan offices are also to be voted for in Eaton County at the November 6, 2018 General Election: Justice of Supreme Court - Judge of Court of Appeals 3rd District - Judge of Circuit Court - Judge of Circuit Court Partial Term - Judge of Probate Court - Grand Ledge City Council - Grand Ledge District Library Board Member - School Board Member.
FOR THE FURTHER PURPOSE OF VOTING ON THE FOLLOWING PROPOSALS:
• State Proposal 18-1 A proposed initiated law to authorize and legalize possession, use and cultivation of marijuana products by individuals who are at least 21 years of age and older, and commercial sales of marijuana through state-licensed retailers.
• State Proposal 18-2 A proposed constitutional amendment to establish a commission of citizens with exclusive authority to adopt district boundaries for the Michigan Senate, Michigan House of Representatives and U.S. Congress, every 10 years.
• State Proposal 18-3 A proposal to authorize automatic and Election Day voter registration, no-reason absentee voting, and straight ticket voting; and add current legal requirements for military and overseas voting and post-election audits to the Michigan Constitution.
• Charlotte Public Schools General Obligation Unlimited Tax Bond Proposal for Building and Site Purposes in the Amount of Not to Exceed $29,850,000.
• Grand Ledge Public Schools General Obligation Unlimited Tax Bond Proposal for Building and Site Purposes in the Amount of Not to Exceed $118,640,000.
• Grand Ledge Public Schools General Obligation Unlimited Tax Bond
Proposal for Building and Site Purposes in the Amount of Not to Exceed $29,485,000.
• Potterville Public Schools Sinking Fund Millage Proposal 1 Mill for 10 Years.

Telephone: (517) 543-2488 or online at eatoncounty.org on the County Clerk’s web page. To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille. Arrangements for obtaining the instructions in these alternative formats can be made by contacting the Township clerk in advance of the election.
All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities. A voter who will be out of the community between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on the day of election, or who is physically unable to attend the polls without the assistance of another person, or who is at least 60 years of age is eligible to receive an absent voter ballot.
Registered voters may contact the Township Clerk to obtain an application for an absent voter ballot. For any other questions relating to the election process, please contact the Township Clerk.
The Oneida Township Clerk’s offices will be open on Saturday, November 3; 8:00 until 2:00 pm to accept applications for AV Ballots by mail or in person.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR 2019 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2018
7:00 P.M.

The Oneida Charter Township Board of Trustees will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed Oneida Charter Budget for Fiscal Year 2019, prior to its adoption, at the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. A copy of the proposed budget is available for public inspection at the Oneida Charter Township Hall, located at 11041 Oneida Road.
Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
THE PROPERTY TAX MILLAGE RATE TO BE LEVIED TO SUPPORT THE PROPOSED BUDGET WILL BE A SUBJECT OF THIS HEARING. Millage Rate for 2019 is .8963
Oneida Charter Township will provide auxiliary aids or services to individuals with disabilities. Persons needing such services should contact the Township in writing or by telephone not less than four (4) days before the public hearing.
