ROAD DETOURS DUE TO CONSTRUCTION

REPOSTED FROM EATON COUNTY ROAD COMMISSION FACEBOOK PAGE

Oneida Township:

While M-43 is under the jurisdiction of the Michigan Department of Transportation, we have learned that the closure of M-43 between Kenyon Road and Oneida Road is due to an Eaton County Drain Commission project on the Porter Drain to replace a culvert.

The closure is expected to last until early August and a detour has been posted using Cochran Rd, Mt. Hope Hwy, and M-100.

If you have additional questions about the project, please contact the Eaton County Drain Commission at 517-543-3809.

Delta & Oneida Townships:

St. Joe Hwy from M-100 to Nixon Road will be widened, crushed & shaped and resurfaced! Work includes trenching, widening, crushing & shaping, paving, gravel shoulders and pavement marking. When complete, there will be a 4' wide paved shoulder on each side of the road.

Scheduled start date is July 22, weather permitting.

During the project, St. Joe will be closed to through traffic. Please seek an alternate route if possible. If you must enter the road closure, drive carefully and have patience as there will be delays.
